Dirt Dreams

Representing the Melbourne food scene through ceramics

In a university ceramic studio titled "Dirt Dreams", I'd learned the art of slip casting ceramic objects. The semester-long studio was split into two projects: the first was to design a set of shot glasses in the image of an Australian liquor company of our choosing. As for the second project, we were to produce a full tableware set for a local Melbourne eatery. My choices were Melbourne Moonshine's gin and Fitzroy's Wabisabi Salon respectively. I chose to feature my love for woodworking by producing an additional wooden storage box for the shot glasses as well as hand-carved chopsticks for my tableware set, which tied the two projects together cohesively.
